What to Expect

Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. It also will help relieve any unnecessary anxiety you may be feeling. Educate yourself on your symptoms by reviewing the content on this Web site. Also, take some time to review our staff page and familiarize yourself with the doctors. We look forward to your first visit.

Here are some common questions that we have answered for you:

Which Dentist will I see during my first visit?

For your initial exam visit, if you have not requested one of our doctors specifically, you will be scheduled for the first, most convenient appointment. The dentist who is available at that appointment will see you. If you request a particular dentist, of course, you’ll be scheduled with that doctor.

Will I see the same dentist for all my treatments?
Yes. If, for example, your treatment plan requires four visits, you will be scheduled all four times with that dentist. If, for example, a different dentist has a particular proficiency, (e.g. smile makeovers); it may be suggested that you see that dentist for that service.

Can I see my dentist if I have an emergency?

Yes – but only if his or her schedule is available. One of the reasons for our expanded schedule is to have a dentist available at as many times of the week as possible for emergency care. We would also like for all of our patients to eventually meet all of our dentists. The important thing, however, is that one of our dentists will be available for emergency care throughout the week.

Can I see my dentist/hygienist on my continuing care (check-up/cleaning) visit?

Yes – but you must so request. Because we schedule continuing care visits months in advance, it is difficult for us to match you with a specific dentist that far in advance.

May I refer a friend or family member to a particular dentist?

Yes. By all means, feel free to refer someone you care about to a particular dentist here at our office. We will do our best to assure that all patients see their dentist of choice.
